Marina View will developed to be a mixed-use development with commercial & retails, office, hotel and residences.
There are no lack of luxury hotels in Singapore but 2018 has been a fairly unexciting year where luxury hotels are concerned - The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore finally opened this year after a hiatus that lasted years and the Six Senses Duxton is probably the only other hotel worth mentioning this year. Yesterday, the Marina View white site has been made available for application under the GLS and it is set to yield 540 hotel rooms.
This white site is envisaged to become home to a mixed-use development and it will be located within the Downtown Core - just walking distance to the future Shenton Way MRT station. I will be publishing a list of new hotels opening in 2019 soon but we will probably see any new developments in the Marina View site post-2021.
